Sample Maker (Footwear/Leather Accessories & Garments)

The Sample Maker – (Footwear / Leather Accessories & Garments) is responsible for creating prototype samples based on design specifications, technical drawings, or client requirements. The role involves interpreting design concepts, selecting appropriate materials, and executing processes such as cutting, stitching, assembling, and finishing to produce accurate samples for approval. The sample maker works with materials like leather, synthetic, fabric, linings, and reinforcements, using both hand tools and machinery. This qualification offers two specialization electives: Elective 1: Footwear (Mandatory)– focused on developing footwear samples across various constructions, ensuring correct fit, finish, aesthetics, and functional requirements. Elective 2: Leather Accessories & Garments (Optional) – focused on sample development for items like bags, wallets, belts, jackets, and other leather products, ensuring design accuracy and manufacturability.
