The Cutter – (Footwear / Leather Accessories & Garments) is responsible for cutting various components of footwear or leather products from materials such as leather, synthetic, fabric, and linings using hand tools, clicking presses, or computerized cutting machines. The cutter ensures accuracy in shape, size, grain direction, and material utilization while minimizing waste. The job demands a strong understanding of material properties, precision, and attention to detail in a production environment. This qualification offers two specialization electives: Elective 1: Footwear (Mandatory)– focused on cutting uppers, linings, reinforcements, and other parts specific to different types of footwear constructions. Elective 2: Leather Accessories & Garments (Optional) – focused on cutting patterns for bags, wallets, belts, jackets, and other leather goods with accuracy and consistency. Elective 3: Demonstrate proficiency in advanced cutting technologies (Optional)- focused on developing the ability to operate and manage advanced cutting technologies such as die-less cutting systems, CNC cutting machines, and automated cutting equipment. It emphasizes precision cutting, material optimization, quality compliance, and adherence to safety protocols while improving efficiency and productivity in the cutting process.
