About this Qualification

Job Description

The Junior Parataxonomist supports biodiversity conservation through field-based identification, classification, and documentation of flora and fauna. They contribute to People's Biodiversity Registers, implement the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, support Biodiversity Management Committees, and use GIS tools for conservation planning. With knowledge of national and international biodiversity frameworks, they connect scientific data with local conservation efforts to ensure sustainable bioresource management.
