The Junior crane operator helps the main operator in his work. (The crane lifts, moves, positions, and reposition loads). The junior crane operator helps in maintenance of the crane, clearing the area of operation and communicating with the site supervisor. He also learns how to operate the crane On-The-Job.
A junior paver operator/screedman assists in operating the screed of the paver vehicle, controls the quantity and consistency of asphalt that is deposited. He is required to assist the operator in performing the operations on the site.
A junior transit mixer operator assists the operator in guiding and aligning the vehicle. He also provides guidance and on-the-job training to juniors.
The primary role of a Mechanic (Engine) is to provide assistance in engine related maintenance. Mechanic (Engine) supports the equipment operation by conducting inspections and preventive maintenance.
Mechanic (Hydraulic) supports the equipment operation by conducting inspections and preventive maintenance. His work involves diagnosis, adjusting, repairing, or overhauling hydraulic equipment.
The paver operator is required to operate the pavers to spread and level hot bituminous paving materials on areas such as highways, streets and parking areas.
Constructs or repairs ships in shore following ship’s blueprints: Marks reference points and lines to maintain alignment of vessel using transit, plumb bob, tapes and levels. Builds keel, bilge blocks etc. for supporting ships in dry dock, marine railways, shipways etc. using woodworking hand tools and power tools. Positions and secures blocking and other structures on dock platform. Aligns vessel over blocks. Establishes reference points and lines on ship's hull for locating machinery and other equipment, in accordance with ship's alignment and shape. Ensures correct alignment of hull, frame and fittings. Prepare entire launching ways to launch a ship. Gets all material and timber salvaged after launching for use in subsequent operation.
Structural Welder fuses metal parts together using welding rod and oxygen acetylene flame or arc-welding power source and electrodes or gas flame or heating using flux and filler rods. Reads fabrication drawing, examines parts to be welded, cleans them and sets joints together with clamps ensuring safety measures. Joins metal pieces such as Steel, Stainless steel and Aluminium metals.
Coordinates and supervises the activities of maintenance staff engaged in maintaining and repairing of infrastructure equipment used for activities such as construction, earth moving, transporting material etc.
The Supervisor (Plant & Machinery) plans and schedules work related to equipment operations, allocates work to team members and guides till completion in line with safety, productivity and quality norms at the worksite. The Supervisor also maintains equipment operations related documentation, anchors interactions with stakeholders and assists the manager with P&M operations related matters to meet organizations objectives and customer's requirements.
