He/she is responsible for coal preparation, moisture control and its handling/ rising to coal towers; maintains battery heating system and battery temperature; maintains battery anchorage system; operates and maintains quenching system (Wet and Dry) wharf operation and coke sizing, moisture control, coke handling etc. (in the safest way) according to SOP (Standard Operation Procedure). Plans and organizes assigned work and detects & resolves issues during execution; demonstrate possible solutions and agrees tasks within the team.
Operator Material Handling at Raw Material Handling Plant operate and perform maintenance of conveyors, coal pullers, coal car shakers, crushers, dozer and loader. He is responsible to maintain plant and equipment in a clean, serviceable condition
The individual is responsible for operation & maintenance of reheating furnaces, fuel mixing, mill operation/setting, rolling operation, quality inspection of rolled product. He/she handles the emergency situations with proper safety measures & possesses knowledge about the trimming and shearing principles.
The individual operates and maintains different operation of steel melting shop, starting form unloading of hot metal, desulphurization process operation and DS slag handling, primary steel making operation. He/she is responsible for executing different flux handling operation, secondary steel making operation (Ladle furnace and RH operation); Ladle preparation and ladle handling operation etc; refractory maintenance; Caster Operation; slab and billet caster handling and dispatch.
This job is all about keeping different process lines functional by ensuring continuity of process. It also involves providing the actual commands for different operations as needed and monitor the operations for any deviations. It includes inspecting the material between processes to ensure alignment to specifications.
The job involves laying the right quality of refractory bricks with the right mortar in the designated areas of a thermal installation in a steel plant, according to design specification.
The trainees can work in the industry as semi-skilled Refractory Technician. The trainee can work in the field of steel industry, Foundry observing safety precautions. The trainees can work on Dismantle & assemble of Refractory liner. Dry and bake new linings by placing inverted linings over burners, building fires in ladles, or by using blowtorches. Disassemble moulds, and cut, chip, and smooth clay structures such as floaters, drawbars, and L-blocks
The job is all about inspection, monitoring for uninterrupted operation of reversing system comprising of reversing winch (electro mechanical/hydraulic) and its auxiliaries e.g. rope, pulley, tie-rods, sprocket, chains, linkages for fuel, air/waste gas system to ensure controlled/ uniform heating of heating chambers. This also involves inspection of centralised lubrication system.
The job is all about selection of tools and tackles, understanding and analysis of load distribution and lifting, moving (to be tied with manila rope to arrest lateral movement) of loads safely as per needs of the group ( Fitter, Welder etc.)
The job is all about optimising the yield of various raw materials e.g. coke, sinter, iron ore, lime stone, dolomite, bauxite, manganese etc. which are required to be fed into blast furnace for iron making. This includes cliffing/breaking various oversized raw materials and then separating the desired range of their size fractions as attributed to them and suitable for smooth and efficient blast furnace operation. This also includes separation of under sized raw materials step by step through various types of screens, grizzly’s or grate bars of different size specifications.
The job is all about taking responsibility of a particular shift for the entire operation of the furnace starting from raw material feed till final product is tapped and transferred with an assurance of quality product.
